Health Data: You provide medication schedules, family member names, and reminder preferences. This data is stored securely and never leaves your control.

Usage Data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the app to improve our service (e.g., which features are most helpful).

Communication Data: If you contact support, we store your messages to provide assistance.

Encryption: All data is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

Access Controls: Only authorized personnel can access systems, and health data is isolated from other systems.

Regular Audits: We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and fix vulnerabilities.

HIPAA Compliance: While we're in early access, we're building toward full HIPAA compliance for protected health information.

We use minimal third-party services to operate KiiCare:

• Hosting: Our servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Google Cloud) with encryption at rest
• Email: We use trusted email providers for sending reminders (emails are sent securely)
• Analytics: Basic usage analytics help us improve the app (no personal health data is shared)
• Payment Processing: If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment data is handled by certified payment processors (Stripe). We never store credit card numbers.

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our service:

• Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
• Inactive accounts: After 12 months of inactivity, we'll email you before deleting data
• Deleted accounts: Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Backups: Backup systems purge deleted data within 90 days

KiiCare is designed for adult caregivers managing medication for their aging parents. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top
• Notify you via email if changes are significant
• Give you the option to review and accept new terms
